Thought for the Week February 9, 2021

Hebrews 10:23-24 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” . When you go through struggles, you need someone to come alongside of you and remind you that there is hope. God expects us to find encouragement among our fellow Christians. Encouragement is important because it helps us keep the faith. Encouragement lifts the spirits of the giver and the receiver, it give us a sense of doing something good for our fellow man. Not only are we to encourage each other... but the word tells us that we can encourage ourselves in the Lord remembering His promises and how He has taken care of us thus far How to Encourage Others

  • Pray for God to show you who to encourage. Ask God to bring someone to mind that you should reach out to. Hebrews 10:24-25

  • Provide Spiritual Support: Pray for the person you want to encourage. Letting them know you've prayed for them. Ephesians 6:18

  • Combine His wisdom and truth with other spiritual and physical help to truly support and encourage others. Ephesians 4:29

  • Use Scripture. Nothing encourages us like promises and assurances from God’s Word. Hebrews 10:23

  • Get started. Who can you encourage right now? What verse can you share with them? How might God use you? Romans 15:5-6 May the Lord do more than we can imagine through just a little encouragement Ephesians 3:20-21
