“It's Time To Get Real With Jesus”

Mark 5:25-36

Mark 5: 25-36 tells the story of a woman that had an illness for twelve long years, the bible described it as “an issue”. This woman had spent all her money on doctors trying to find a cure. She had heard about Jesus healing others, and she believed He could heal her . When she heard that Jesus was passing through her town, she thought if she could just touch His garment she would be healed. She didn't want to come face to face with Jesus with her issue, but she wanted to be healed. She thought She could “sneak” a blessing, be healed and be on her way. But Jesus felt the touch on His clothes even though there was a crowd around him.

Jesus called her to Him and she got real with the Lord. She fell before Him and told Him all the truth (confession}. And not only was she healed… she was made whole. She was freed from the issues she had hidden for so long.

There are issues in all our lives that only Jesus can fix. Being real with Jesus shows that you trust Him. We use the expressions; “get real”, “I'm for real” and even “for real for real” for extra emphasis. But are we real with the Lord? Have you trusted Him with all your problems? You can't really hide anything from God.

Jeremiah 1:5 says, "He knows all about us, even before we were formed in our mothers' womb." You can't put on an act with God. Performance-oriented faith looks good on the outside, but will land you in a pit of alienation from God. When you go before the Lord in prayer cast all your cares on Him, he is able to handle every issue you have physical and spiritual. He can heal your body and your soul.

Be Blessed!
