The Time Is Now Hebrews 10:19-25

Hebrews 10:19-25 is a call to persevere in faith. It points to the curtain in the temple where only the high priest had access to the presence of God in Holiest of Holies. When Jesus died, that temple curtain was torn in half; Jesus has removed the barrier between us and God by his body and his blood.

This gives those who trust in Him a secure hope for the future, until we finally meet Him face to face.

In the meantime, however, we should be actively living a life full of love and good deeds as we continue Jesus’ mission to reach the world with the Gospel as we are led by the Holy Spirit. It also stresses that we can't and shouldn't try to do it alone. Many people start to follow Jesus' teachings, but when times get tough, they begin to turn back on their commitment to Jesus to return to their old lives.

As believers, we have a family for support and strength. Not meeting together becomes a habit - a bad habit. We need the encouragement of other believers if we are to keep going forwards and avoid being pulled off track. With all the turmoil, hate and discord in the world today it is especially important that the church be a cohesive body.

NOW IS THE TIME for Christians to show the world the love, peace and harmony that come through the bond we have in Jesus. The world today seems to be pushing an agenda of separation, but the word of God tells us otherwise.

"But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin";1 John 1:7

The Bible also encourages us in Ephesians 5:15-17, to “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”

NOW IS THE TIME to continue to show righteousness through Christ and to maintain unity with fellow believers... resolving differences and defending the gospel. Christians must remain connected to each other and stand with each other, so life pressures do not pull people away from the faith.

"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near."; Hebrews 10:25( NLT)
