Every season brings some type of storms. High winds, hail, excessive precipitation, and wildfires are all effects of severe weather. As Christians we will weather some spiritual storms in our lives in the form of a calamity or hardship of some kind. It might be a medical issue, a marital problem, or a legal issue.
"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.” 1 Peter 4:12
When we are tested, our endurance has a chance to grow. As we struggle against doubt, fear, pride, anger and selfishness, God may allow:
A Perfecting Storm: This is the storm that will reveal to you where you are and where you need to be.
A Protecting Storm: The storm that shows God's strength in our weakness.
A Correcting Storm: This is the storm that we bring upon ourselves and God gives us a second chance.
We should endure our storms as “storm chasers.” Experiencing peace, glorifying God, keeping our eyes on Jesus and waiting to see what the end will be. How do you weather your storms? Let’s pray that when the eye of the storm finds us we’ll be ready to say “Lord, I know you’ll be there to guide me through whatever comes, Thy will be done, ” and truly mean it.
"The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.” Psalm 34:17
Be Blessed!
